BD+15 2940 is a K0 star 1390 light-years away, and it hosts one known planet. The star is 7.1 billion years old, has a mass of 1.1 solar masses, and a radius of 14.7 solar radii. Its temperature is 4800 K, and its reported radius estimate is larger than the Sun's while its reported temperature is cooler than the Sun's.
The only listed planet is BD+15 2940 b, discovered in 2013 by the radial velocity method, which measures the wobble a planet's gravity induces in its star's motion. It has a minimum mass of 353 Earth masses - a minimum mass being a lower bound on a planet's true mass - and that minimum mass is larger than Earth's and roughly 1.11 times Jupiter's mass. Its orbital period is 137 days.
